Greetings,

The new Mrs. Haluska is in writing a brief post from my wedding hiatus.

Well the wedding was fabulous!! It was so wonderful to be surrounded by all of our amazing family and friends and I will never forget it. I hope to do a picture post when I return from where you may be wondering. . . . . Well as some of you may know Joey had kept our honeymoon location a secret till our first dance and guess where we are going ????????

ST. LUCIA

I am beyond excited the day after the wedding all I did was research the resort website and read all about it.

we are staying at the St. Lucia Regency Golf Resort and Spa.

I will be journaling on our honeymoon and plan to blog about our days there when we return.
Today we fly from O'Hare Airport at 6:40 to Miami International arriving at 9:40. We are 1:00.

THINK PINK

Well the title of this post is all I am doing, thinking, seeing, touching, and living!!!

I guess this is pretty normal when someone is DAYS away from the wedding

Tonight was filled with errands, healthy dinner, workout, favor making, seating charts, bridesmaids gifts, etc.

Another element that added to today's excitement was the arrival of some honeymoon clothes I ordered. They minute I saw them I tried them on phoned Joey to ask " Where are we going?" But he gave up nothing!!!!

The excitement is in the air!!!!!!!! I am so ready to see everyone!!!!!! I am ready to celebrate with everyone, I am ready to see this dream come true! I am ready to stand in front of God, our family, and dear friends, and say the scared vows that have been said for centuries to Joe.
To me there is something so intense and romantic about repeating the vows that have been here for so long.

This blog is really Fantabulous!!!!!!! I am much more of a pie lover than a cake lover so this blog speaks to, or should I say makes my mouth water like a baby teething!!! This blog attracts around 30,000 hits a day which in the blogging world is a very big deal! Her blog is actually in the stages of a tv pilot!! You go Pie lady. The writer of this blog was previous in the IT industry with a fortune 500 Company and left it to create new pie recipes ( what a risk taker- I'm jealous) About a year ago her husband passed away and she has blogged about and actually attributes it to part of her healing process!!! If you check this blog out let me know what you think- good or bad!!!

This is a neat-o site that features something really exciting FREE PRINTABLES for letterhead, labels and stationary!!! You gotta love the free stuff. The site offers innovative ideas on printing, organizing, decorating, and fashion. In other words it is pretty much a like a tapas meal a little taste of everything! What's Next ?????

Is Summer really almost over??? I am going to try my best not to think that it is over but that the beautiful colors of fall leaves, pumpkins, and pie baking in the oven is on the way!!!!!!!!
With the wedding approaching fastily I have been asked a questions alot lately and it is
" What are you going to do with all your free time after the wedding?'

Well this answer is a two parter!

First- This blog is going to be my family blog, I am going to have it so family can stay up to track with what is going on with us and to be able to see pictures. I am however in the process of creating another blog and I am hoping that anyone who checks this blog out will start checking out my new blog. My new blog has a clear vision and purpose and I would love to share more with you about it but I want to wait till the big unveiling of it. I am thinking probably the last week in September. Any guesses of what it may be about?????? I would love to know what everyone is thinking.

Secondly- I am going to make one of my dreams come true. . . . . I am putting pen to paper and writing a book. It is a children's book and it is an idea that I have had for a very long time. I have an outline currently done and am now working on the page-to-page dialogue. (this is a literary term for children's books) Trust me I am learning. I would really love to share with you the idea but I have been advised to keep my ideas to myself. I will however be updating this blog with updates of how it is going. After I have the book completed, the next step in the process is to start looking for a literary agent. I know some literary publications in Chicago and Des Moines and hope to contact them. On this note, I have to give my Aunt Karen a big ROUND OF APPLAUSE and CONGRATS she just finished her children's book and it is fabulous!!!!! It is for the third grade reading level and it is absolutely brilliant. We always knew she was a great writer and I am so proud of her for doing this. Karen you are a true inspiration!!!!!!!

I also wanted to let everyone know that next Wednesday will be my last day of blogging till August 25th. I am taking this time off to soak up all the wedding festivities!!!!!!! Don't worry I will blog about them to all of you.

Lastly- I want to encourage anyone who is a follower of a blog to join as a follower on blogs. No I am not saying you have to become a follower of my blog if you are reading this right now, I am just encouraging you to because people who blog spend lots of time and energy to do so and if you get enjoyment from reading one it is a great way to show your appreciation.

Itching to Know

Well I have to admit something

I have two common themes that have been constants thoughts running through my mind

1. MY WEDDING IS GOING TO BE HERE VERY SOON!!!!!

and

2. WHERE AM I GOING ON MY HONEYMOON- if you haven't heard Joey is surprising me during our first dance at the reception by telling me!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously I am filled with anticipation!!!!!!!!!

But I will just have to wait till that unforgettable moment arrives!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and the She She's getting ready for our fun filled day. . . SHOPPING!

This is us at lunch- We went to Ed Debevic's. If you haven't heard of this restaurant it is a BLAST! It is a retro diner , where the waiters are dress up like Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, etc. The waiters act a little crazy like throwing all the hats, straws, sliding on floor, singing dancing- it is a major LARP atmosphere. As you can tell it was blowing Madeline Jane away!!

Sister Love!!!! After our bog day of shopping we had a pizza and make your own sundae party!! This is the birthday girl's Sundae!!!!
